Meet: Meridee Albrecht
Hello, I am happy to be back in Washington after living in Austin for 2 1/2 years. While living in Austin, I became involved in the film community, editing a weekly podcast for a local hip-hop show, becoming involved with Austin's public access station taking classes, and working with crew on local shows.
Through Austin Public, I took an intensive course in Directing and was the director and editor for the 2024 48Hr Film Project. Working in my own video editing business I created a promo for a local holistic company.
Currently, I am starting my own business as a videographer and editing, while working on my own independent films. At the moment, I am starting my second found footage psych/horror short.I originally grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from Highline Community College with an Associate Degree in Journalism and certification in Television Production. I interned with KCTS-9 and 911 MediaArts, then worked for Denver Community Television teaching video production, editing, working as a DP for producers, and running the front desk.In the mid-2000s I worked as a cinematographer and camera assistant for local independent films in the Seattle area, including a cinematography credit in Wishful Dancing.
During the pandemic, I was on the WIF/Second Tuesday committee, a monthly event that featured panels, workshops, and networking events....
