SPOKANE FILM PROJECT PRESENTS 

Decasia is a 2002 American Film made by Bill Morrison from found decomposing footage and featuring a moving original score by Michael Gordon. 

This is a beautiful, non-narrative film that is like looking at a fascinating, kinetic, abstract painting. Set to music, the images on screen begin to unfold an enigmatic story. It is an hour-long haunting experiment like no other and should be a mandatory experience for anyone interested in art, film, history, music and humanity. 

In 2013, Decasia was selected for preservation by the National Film Registry. It was the first film from the 21st century to be selected and to date, is the youngest film to be preserved.
