Biography
Joe was born and raised in California, splitting his time between the northern and southern parts of the state. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton, in 2012 with a B.A. in Communications, with an emphasis in broadcast journalism.
Joe spent the first 10 years of his career in television journalism, working as a producer, reporter and anchor at stations in South Dakota, Nebraska and Spokane. After seven years at NBC affiliate KHQ, Joe changed course in 2022 and joined the Washington State Department of Transportation as a Communications Consultant.
In his role at WSDOT, Joe develops content for the department’s website and social media channels, shoots and edits short- and long-form video, plans and supports events, and helps lead communications during emergencies and other critical incidents.
Joe is passionate about storytelling and enjoys bringing stories to life through writing, video production and editing.
