Kiersten Gasper

Kiersten is a novice filmmaker who has experience with editing, sound, acting, and assisting with many roles on set. She is a hard worker and has a great eye for detail.

Ever since Kiersten could hold a camera, she’s been taking pictures and making videos. When she was 10, she convinced her friends to make simple backward videos where it looked like they all had superpowers. She discovered her passion for editing in the 7th grade for a school science project, making a mock game show video as a science lesson. From there, she dabbled in creating short music videos with simple visual effects. Every so often, she had the opportunity to assist on a professional set. With the inspiration of working on set, she continued to self-teach editing and filmmaking. She took 5th place in the Future Business Leaders of America national competition when she was a sophomore in high school. She also started taking on small, freelance projects for her local middle and high school. In college, Kiersten further developed her skills on set by working with the film students at Eastern Washington University in her free time, where she worked as a boom op, sound mixer, PA, and second AD for their academic projects and some film competitions. She also worked on a local professional project as a locations and set dec amatuer. Additionally, she took digital audio and sound editing classes while at university to hone her editing skills.

Kiersten has limited dramatic on-camera experience but has experience with YouTube and live streaming-style engagement. She also has a background in gymnastics and parkour and is interested in stunts.
