Biography
My entertainment journey began back in Spokane Washington, while as a child I enjoyed music and drama in my home church, which led to many opportunities to be involved in those productions.
After I graduated from Eastern Washington University with degrees in Music.Ed. and Music Composition, I taught music and coached sports for 8 years in the Seattle area. As a music teacher I directed bands, orchestras, choirs and jazz ensembles.
I’m advanced in singing, playing the piano, trombone, bass guitar and harmonica; I have performed professionally as a ventriloquist since high school. I also write, arrange and orchestrate music.
I lived in Los Angeles for 22 years, and while there performed hundreds of shows for ‘Mad Science” at a variety of Special Events in the greater Los Angeles area, combining science and stand-up comedy.
I continue to perform concerts that I call “Bob Hoover In Concert”, where I combine music, stand-up comedy and ventriloquism, and have performed for many different venues across the country.
I now enjoy living back in my hometown of Spokane, and I’m focusing all my time and energy towards concert presentations and music recording. As well as a comedian and musician I have performed in theater, film, television productions and national commercials, and stay very busy continuing to pursue these ambitions.
