Sydney Thun

Sydney Thun is a Los Angeles–based development coordinator and creative executive with a strong background in literary scouting, IP development, and film and television production.

She currently serves as Coordinator and Assistant to the Head of Development at The Walk-Up Company, where she evaluates books and scripts, tracks industry and publishing trends, and collaborates with writers, directors, and talent to develop original content. She plays an integral role in identifying promising IP, organizing creative meetings, and curating submission materials across genres.

Previously, Sydney was the Assistant to the Head of Development at Clubhouse Pictures (formerly Screen Arcade), where she was deeply involved in creative development, script revision processes, and talent outreach. There, she maintained internal coverage systems and supported project advancement across multiple departments.

Sydney began her career at Creative Artists Agency in the Motion Picture Literary department and has held creative roles at 5X5 Productions. She holds a B.A. in Film Studies and a minor in Creative Writing from Seattle University, and has attended the Sundance Film Festival multiple times. Her strengths lie in story development, coverage, pitch materials, and cross-team communication.

In addition to her industry work, Sydney maintains a freelance pitch deck site and has produced content for nonprofit organizations.
