Union Film Crew Work: No More Mysteries Wednesday Union Film Crew Work: No More Mysteries

Wednesday, June 1, 6:00 PM on Zoom

It’s time to dispel some of the myths and mysteries of working on a union film crew. IATSE Local 488 is the union that covers most film crew members of the Pacific Northwest. In this hour-long event, 488 VP Rebecca Cook will be discussing some common questions and misconceptions about union film work, including how to join the union, what it means to be a union member, and if union work is even right for you. We’ll talk about why and how shows go union. We'll also give green filmmakers some basics on moving into professional film set work. We hope to answer any questions participants have about professional film crew work that they may have been afraid to ask. It's a great talk for students and new filmmakers or anyone wanting to understand where unions fit into our industry work.

This presentation is FREE and open to the public.
